Silica Dust WHS Regulations for Builders
Read Guide
We understand the pressure of practical completion. Our CSCS carded teams deliver high-speed, detailed initial and final cleans to ensure your project performs on handover day.
We know the pain of handover week. Here is how we ensure you Defect-Free.
Unskilled labourers using dull blades or scourers on expensive glazing, resulting in thousands of dollars in replacement costs.
Our teams are trained specifically in 'Attributes of Glass'. We use optical-grade compounds and fresh blades to remove render and paint without leaving a mark.
You clean a room, then trades walk through it. You clean it again. The defect list never ends, and the client is getting frustrated.
We implement a specific 'Initial -> Final -> Polish' workflow, working behind the trades. We sign off zones physically to prevent re-entry contamination.
Dry sweeping concrete dust creates a hazardous airborne environment, risking fines and worker health claims.
We operate with H-Class HEPA vacuums and wet-wiping protocols to safely remove dangerous particulates, keeping your site compliant with new WHS laws.
You've spent months building it. Don't let paint splatter, render dust, or smeared glass ruin the client walkthrough. ProSan Australia specializes in the high-pressure environment of Practical Completion (PC) deadlines.
We don't just sweep up; we remove silicone haze, scrape safety glass without scratching, and pressure wash external hardstands. Our supervisors work directly with your Site Manager to tick off defect lists in real-time.
Removal of rubble, packaging, and heavy dust during the build phase.
White-glove cleaning of all surfaces, joinery, and glass ready for client handover.
Abseiling and rope access technicians for external facade cleaning.
Daily cleaning of site sheds, toilets, and lunchrooms for your crew.
From high-rise residential to industrial sheds, our teams adapt to your build type with the right equipment and approach.
Office towers, mixed-use developments, hotels
Apartment complexes, townhouses, units
Distribution centres, factories, sheds
Shopping centres, standalone retail, restaurants
Hospitals, clinics, aged care (strict hygiene protocols)
Schools, universities, childcare centres
Public buildings, transport hubs
Heritage buildings, office refurbishments
We work in sync with your construction program to ensure each phase is completed before trades move to the next area.
During construction. Removal of rubble, packaging, and gross debris. Keeps the site safe and workable for trades.
Post lock-up. Detailed cleaning of all surfaces, windows, and joinery. Prepares zones for final finishes.
Pre-PC. White-glove standard. Every surface wiped, floors polished, glass streak-free. Ready for client walkthrough.
Post-handover. Quick response to address any defect list items within 24-48 hours.
Builders have enough on their plate without worrying about cleaning staff causing WHS incidents. Our team is inducted into your site safety systems and carries all required certifications.
Mandatory general construction induction
Competent industry certification for commercial sites
For scaffolding, EWP, and ladder work
Safe handling of respirable crystalline silica dust
We complete your site induction before starting work
New WHS regulations have dramatically reduced the Workplace Exposure Standard for Respirable Crystalline Silica. Dry sweeping is now prohibited.
Our teams use H-Class HEPA vacuums and wet-wiping protocols to safely remove silica dust without aerosolising it. We keep you compliant with the new standard.

For urgent PC deadlines, we can deploy a team within 24-48 hours across SEQ. For planned works, we typically start within 3-5 business days of confirmation.
Yes. All staff hold current White Cards (CPCCWHS1001), and we carry CSCS accreditation for commercial sites. We also complete your site-specific inductions before commencing work.
Absolutely. Most final cleans and defect rectifications are done outside normal work hours to avoid clashing with trades. We're available 7 days a week.
A final clean includes all windows (internal and external where accessible), all horizontal surfaces wiped, floors mopped/vacuumed, joinery cleaned, bathroom fixtures polished, and a final walkthrough with your site supervisor.
Our teams are trained in 'Attributes of Glass' and use appropriate tools (fresh blades, optical-grade compounds) to avoid damage. We inspect all glass before starting and document any pre-existing damage.
Tell us your project details and we'll provide a fixed-price quote within 24 hours. No surprises, just defect-free handovers.
